Family Engagement

At Allen M. Stearne School, we believe that strong schools are built through strong partnerships with families and the community. When families, educators, and community partners work together, our students feel supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. We are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for families to be heard, involved, and connected to the life of our school. Through open communication, family events, community partnerships, and shared experiences, we work together to ensure that every child has the support, encouragement, and opportunities they need to succeed. At Stearne, we know that the best thing for children happens when we all work together.

Family Engagement Policies

You can read our Parent-Family Engagement Policy and our School-Parent Compact here! These documents lay out our commitment to how we will partner with families throughout the year.  Please take the time to review the current Parent and Family Engagement Policy. Please read the policy in it’s entirety, taking the time to make note of any sections you would like to see changed or removed. As you read the policy, please also keep in mind any sections you feel should be added.

Schoolwide & Community Events

Hip-Hop Bingo Night

Hip Hop Bingo Night brought more than 100 Stearne families together for an unforgettable evening filled with music, games, laughter, and, most importantly, fellowship. Families, staff, and community partners came together to celebrate the Stearne community and create meaningful connections beyond the school day. With the energy of hip hop, the excitement of bingo, and the spirit of togetherness, this family engagement experience was unlike anything Stearne had seen before. Hip Hop Bingo Night reminded us that when our school, families, and community partners come together, we create experiences that bring our Stearne family closer and make a lasting impact on our children.

Muffins with Moms: Stearne Brand Ball

At Allen M. Stearne School, Mother’s Day is more than a celebration of motherhood. It is a celebration of the love, strength, sacrifice, and care provided by the many maternal figures who make a difference in the lives of our children. To honor these extraordinary women and role models, Stearne transformed into a Bridgerton-inspired Grand Ball, creating an elegant and unforgettable celebration fit for royalty. Hundreds of mothers, grandmothers, aunts, caregivers, mentors, and other motherly figures gathered for high tea, fellowship, music, and an evening dedicated to recognizing their invaluable contributions to our children and our community. The Stearne Grand Ball was a beautiful reminder that every child deserves to be surrounded by people who love, support, and believe in them.

Halftime with Dads

At Allen M. Stearne School, we believe that positive male role models play an important role in helping our children grow, learn, and thrive. Halftime with Dads was a special celebration honoring the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, coaches, and father figures who show up for our Stearne students every day. Our school was filled with fellowship, games, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate the brotherhood that exists within our community. With a high population of involved and dedicated male figures, Stearne took time to recognize the men who continue to pour into our children, support our families, and make a difference in our school. Halftime with Dads was a celebration of connection, commitment, and the power of showing up for our children.
